TAKE ME BACK
The campaign aims to curb the mismanagement of Tetra Pak waste and provide a solution for it via source segregation and collection. This simple transition enables us to keep Tetra waste out of landfills, prepare them for recycling, and transform them into several new products!
HOW IT WORKS
We take the used beverage cartons off your hands and recycle them.
We have multiple options to make this process easier for you.
We have provided receptacles at several prominent supermarkets around Chennai to make it easy for you to drop off used Tetra Paks during routine grocery trips. Every receptacle is made from recycled Tetra Pak cartons. You can also Dunzo your cartons to us anytime.
What’s more, if you collect 50+ cartons, we offer a free pickup via this link.
HOW TO RECYCLE RIGHT
WHAT HAPPENS TO THE RECYCLABLES?
All used beverage cartons are sent to Arpanam Trust, a 30 year old non-profit organisation for women. Here, we have created employment for 8 women, who clean and sort the cartons. Once this process is done, the cleaned and sorted cartons are sent to a bailer. The final step in this process happens at the recycling plant where the paper is separated from the polyethylene and aluminium via the hydra pulping process and then converted into many useful products like benches, desks, roofing sheeting and much more.
